The Kookaburra That Didn't Laugh

A kookaburra has lost her egg, but the egg is soon found by a green catbird. The green catbird cares for the young kookburra when hatched, speaking as a green catbird does: 'Mawhhhhhh, Mawhhhhhh.' The young kookaburra soon learns that without his laugh he isn't a real kookaburra, and so he ventures far and wide, trying to make new friends.
