Sent to a new boarding school for a fresh start and to help her cope with the loss of her father, 13-year-old Sky Monroe discovers the school's spirituality group, The Guardians of Light. Curious and more than a little entranced, Sky gets sucked in, believing that they have all the answers she could ever want. But the Guardians of Light have secrets of their own.

As a paranormal presence makes itself known in terrifying ways, Sky finds herself way over her head. The more she uncovers, the more she learns that these might not be the answers that she wants... and it might be too late to turn back.
