¡Dibujos nunca antes vistos!
ENGLISH DESCRIPTION Drawings that have never been seen! Introductions by Sergio Aragonés and Ariel Rosales. "Eduardo del Río, Rius, achieved with his work what no other humor illustrator in the world ever did: become the voice of his country, unveiling falsehood with his elegant sense of humor and his advice. My friend,
monero, and teacher." --Sergio Aragonés
"This mute joke, like many others in
Rius' Ha-Ha, according to Chesterton's theory, is but madness with madness as a goal, as they say, the art for the sake of art, or more appropriately, beauty for the sake of beauty.' The English writer adds--he himself a great humorist--that '[nonsense] serves no social purpose except that of having a nice holiday.' Master Rius would totally agree with this rigorous assessment." --Ariel Rosales
"Sergio Aragonés from
Mad and I are the only ones left from our generation. We are both from the fifties... in line with what Abel Quezada had done. A humor that had nothing to do with the cartoons of Chango Cabral, Arias Bernal, or Freyre, another way of seeing things. With better humor and less elaborate drawings, more nonchalance, less solemnity." --Eduardo del Río,
Rius "For the first time in a single edition, over 200 humoristic drawings and graphic experiments that remained hidden from the public eye for over 60 years, a different Rius, an amateur Rius, a ha-ha Rius. Welcome to
Rius' Ha-Ha." --Luis Gantús
