Dysphonia

An autobiographical collection of doodles, text messages, and thoughts scrawled on paper from the artist, Rain, as she navigates her transition. This book provides a unique in-the-moment perspective of the transgender experience from discovering dysphoric aspects of oneself to grappling with changes both physical and social. While the work at times illustrates the raw vulnerability of guild and anxiety that transitioning often rubs against, it also doesn't shy away from the profound love, support, and euphoria one receives from living as their true self.
